Great stage, so strange to see Thor Hushovd out front on a mountain stage, but very cool. Contador is so gonna win :) I so love the Schlecks!

crankyI've recently started reading 'The Church at the End of the 20th Century' by Francis Schaeffer. It's really got me thinking, although written almost 30 years ago in response to events of the time, it is still very relevant and insightful to our culture today.
a thought that came from the first few chapters
The danger posed to Christianity by science is not that Science will disprove Christianity, it's that it will convince us that it has.
confusedGot to vote, hmm, how do you decide? I don't know. At least it in 24 hours it will all be over
excitedArguably the world's toughest sporting event is on. Again this year I'm supporting Thomas Lövkvist, he's no longer the youngest rider in the race, actually, in this third Tour and having completed the previous two, he's quite experienced compared to the fifty or so debutants this year. He's not quite so recognisable this year with out the Swedish national jersey, I haven't managed to confirmably spot him yet. Hopefully soon I'll be able to pick the riders in the pack without seeing the numbers, so far I can pick Thor and big Tom.
It's common to hear God is love, when we hear this I think it's tempting to think of what we know as love and therefore to think that is what God is like. But really we should think of what we know of God and think that is what love is. Often we have warped view of love and this affects our view of God, but attributing God with our view of love is creating God in our image, which is really creating a false god.
sleepyIs this the type of random thing you put in a lj?
saw a pic of Bernard Fanning promoting the new Powderfinger album and thought 'hey he looks like Sirius Black as portrayed by Gary Oldman in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'. Having never seen the movie I wasn't sure, but I googled it and yep there is a similarity.
can't be bothered to try to put links in here so if you wanna see for yourself just put 'Bernard Fanning' and 'Garry Oldman' into google image search
